A top I created with the concepts of form and draping in mind. I used recycled materials (an old mens striped shirt) which wrapped around my t-shirt. This top was a playful way for me to explore shape and fabric movement. manipulating the average silhouette of a T-shirt and bringing it to life in a new way. Fashion is a place of experimentation and augmentation, I am interesting in reimagining the old and putting a modern twist on it.

Both of these collages are about the joy of playing in art. For me, collage is an act of fearlessness. Setting aside the rules and regulations that are often taught to us in art and just letting go. Having free reign to cut, move, paste, join from completely different places and spaces is magical.
Furthermore, collage has been a way to express my aesthetic and vision with whatever limited materials, colours, patterns are in front of me. Through collage I’ve built a stronger self of self and understanding of my art and where I want it to go. It’s helped me understand graphic design and allowed me to work on some personal music/event posters.

This year I have become interested in capturing the body through change and transformation. Liminal and subtle movement can change the entire way a body part is viewed and the tone of the piece. Noticing the difference between a flexed foot and a relaxed foot, or even the slightest movement between toes. The most minute changes are significant. A loss of one state an a movement onto another.

Seaside daisies
Watercolour on card
This project was connected to my fascination of the everyday, constant and mundane. Seaside daisies have been a flower that I have always seen throughout my life whether on the street, in parks or in my own garden. I feel its a plant that is easily lost and forgotten due to its petite nature, some even classify it as a weed - something unwanted. Here I wish to amplify the seaside daisy and allow its beauty to speak for itself. I demonstrate how delicate yet complex just a small section of this plant is and how humans often have a very deceptive understanding of the smallness that surrounds us everyday.
